ALYUMOSILICATES
(products from ash and slag waste)
Product Feature
Silica products (SiO2) and alumina (a mixture of oxides of aluminum, potassium, sodium, magnesium, etc.) in the Institute of Coal Chemistry and Technology LLP are obtained using an innovative technology for treating raw materials using an electrophysical method, in which there is a simultaneous effect and a complex mechanism all active factors of the electrophysical effect leading to the breaking of sorption and peripheral chemical bonds. As a result of such a powerful treatment, the strong bonds, for example, of silicon with aluminum in aluminosilicates contained in coal ash, are weakened and destroyed. This results in a high degree of purification of the product (SiO2) and under milder process conditions.
Silica (or as it is also called white soot) is crystals with a melting point of + 1713 ... + 1728 C, possessing high hardness and strength.
Silica application area
Silicon dioxide is used in many industries:
- aircraft industry;
- radio engineering and microelectronics;
- building;
- sanitary equipment;
- rubber production;
- food industry;
- the medicine;
- cosmetics;
- textile industry;
- jewelry.
Silicon dioxide is used in the manufacture of: glass, rubber, ceramics, concrete products, abrasive materials, ultrasonic installations, lighters, fiber-optic cables (with a number of ingredients), additives (registered under E551 in the food industry), toothpastes, medicine enterosorbent (in the pharmaceutical industry). Silica is found in chips, crackers, corn sticks, instant coffee, etc.
Silica (SiO2)
The main technical and chemical characteristics of alumina:
• refractoriness (melting starts from a temperature of 2044 ° C);
• hardness;
• resistance to acids; undergoes dissolution in hot melts of alkaline substances;
• has semiconductor properties;
• has a dielectric constant.
• The density of the material is 3.77-3.99 g / cm3.
Alumina application field
Alumina is widely used mainly in the production of building materials (as additives in concrete, cement, bricks, etc.)
Alumina is also used in the production of ceramics, as a dielectric in electrolytic aluminum capacitors, as an insulator, for abrasive treatment of various surfaces, in the construction of concrete structures, for emergency repairs and repairs, as well as for plugging oil and gas wells, lining shaft wells and tunnels etc.
On the basis of aluminous cement in a mixture with heat-resistant aggregates produce concrete, which resist well the action of high temperatures (1000 ° C and above). Aluminous cement is also used to produce expanding cements
